Student Loans for Bad Credit
Sabtu, 10 Oktober 2009
Much of the world is going through a financial crisis. Banks, for perhaps the first time ever, are refusing applications for credit from those who do not have perfect credit histories. It has never been harder to secure credit from the banks and that is a fact.
So what chance has a cash strapped student loaded with debt got of being approved for credit? Well in some cases students are treated as special cases. Some lenders realise that students have had to run up debts simply to complete their courses. In the UK government students loans are only repayable if the student has a job at a predetermined salary level. It is a fact that many students will never repay any of the government student loan. Lenders realise this and although the student may owe thousands from a government loan, many lenders will be happy to approve a credit application when the student starts his working life.
For students with more sever debt most of the banks will not offer credit. There is though almost a new industry of new lenders who will offer credit to those with a poor credit score. You will pay more in interest from these lenders so it is best to shop around.
Ensure though that you can afford to make regular repayments because if you default on a credit card from a “bad credit” lender you could damage your chances of securing future credit long term.

A lot of parents and students are taking advantage of this because education is one of the important factors to get hired for a job. There are three widely used student loans which are Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Perkins Loans and lastly Federal PLUS Loans. But there are also other loans that you can choose from if you opt not to use this ones.
The Federal Stafford loans has two kinds which are subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The subsidized loan is granted for those who really need it. You are not required to pay for the interest while you are still in school or in half-time. You are also given six months of grace period after graduation before you are asked to pay back the loan. This gives you an ample time to save money to pay for the loan. On the other hand, unsubsidized loans can be claimed by qualified students regardless of their families income. This is usually chosen when the subsidized loan is limited.
The Federal Perkins loans has a lower interest of 5%. This is granted to undergraduate and graduate students who are in dire need of financial assistance. There are several criteria that must be met for this loan to be granted to a student. Income or credit checks may be conducted as part of evaluation.
And finally, the Federal PLUS loans are granted to parents who have a child who is about to attend college. The parents can now pay for their child's college expenses in full. Though, the financial standing of the parents are not required, a credit check is still conducted.
With these kinds of programs, anyone is now able to go to college without having to think of the money to pay for college. Students and parents should know this kinds of programs to help them financially for better education.

A Little About Fast Student Loans
Jumat, 19 Juni 2009
It is interesting that students all over the country are constantly trying to find fast student loans. But yet they fail to realize the cost associated with taking out a loan of this caliber. Attending college is not cheap no matter who you are. There are so many expenses such as books and other things that will eat through your cash reserves in no time.
In most cases, a years attendance in college is equal to that of more than double the current minimum wage income for the entire year. This is a substantial amount of money, and all of which you will be taking out through a loan. On top of this initial amount that you will borrow, you will have to pay back all of it with interest.
A student loan should not be performed fast, it is not something that you should jump into without thinking things through properly. However, there are several different types of loans currently available. Take for example if you are in need of some quick cash to cover some books that you need for a particular class.
This type of loan would not be handled through a bank but rather through a quick loan service. These type of services usually take into account your current job status and based on back particular information will determine if you are able to borrow money.
This on the other hand would be fast student loans. But keep in mind that while they are quick, they can also be very expensive especially with regards to interest rates. When it comes to making sure you have the money you need to survive and so that you will be able to finish college, sometimes it is important that you take out one of these types of fast student loans.
